Noisy character recognition technique based on moments of inertiae[]


In the current research work, improved and fast method was proposed to recognize the font character. This is achieved by learning and storing fonts (knowledge base). In this paper, the moment features for printed English character recognition are proposed. The moment descriptors have been developed as features in pattern recognition since the moment method was first introduced. Then, introduction of the character to make the comparison with the knowledge base. The noise was simulated into the data to approximate the real recognition. The creation of the noise made by the use of logical X-OR (Exclusive OR), namely the white pixel to be black and vice versa. To clean the noise incorporated three algorithms depending on which offer the speed and relative efficiency (Slow, Medium, Fast). After the comparison shows the character that found the system.


Studying Impact of Various Leakage Current Reduction Techniques on Different D-Flip Flop Architectures[]


In the present scenario the technology is getting finer. Hence there is an aggressive scaling of CMOS device and abbreviates the device density. Lowering the supply voltage leads to lower threshold voltage and oxide thickness. High device density and lower threshold voltage result in significant increase in the leakage power dissipation. It cannot be neglected anymore. This fact has motivated a lot of researchers and technologists to choose leakage current minimization techniques. Therefore it is necessary to reduce leakage power of portable battery operated devices. The main objective of this paper is study of existing leakage current reduction techniques and different D Flip-Flop architectures, and comparing them in terms of ability to reduce leakage and their associated delay overhead. The further approach is to combine different leakage reduction techniques in a single design. Extensive SPICE simulation results were reported using 16nm process technologies.


Blow down Losses Control in Thermal Power Plants Using Neural Network[]


This paper considers an approach to design a controller used for blow down optimization in the losses reduction process of a power plant boiler. The optimization of the BD will maintation TDS level and reduce the indirect heat losses.. Efficiency of any Boiler depends upon minimization of various indirect losses of the boiler so that amount of energy input in the boiler by burning the fuel can be maximum utilized for generation of steam and cost of steam can be minimized ultimately. The proposed back prapogation technique can prove to be a very effective tool for evaluating and maintain boiler efficiency and indirect losses. This neural network technology offers an best method for desigining a neuro control based on back propagation. The advantages of using a neural network to represent a system are it's ability to perform a nonlinear mapping between inputs and outputs and the necessity of requiring minimal prior knowledge of the system.


Modeling Traffic in an established 3G mobile Network[]


Traffic models are meant to provision the increasing load of packet switched traffic in a 3G network .In this paper, we present Forward Error Correction (FEC) as a technique used for optimizing a 3G mobile network.Here, Packet Error Probability (PEP) model without Forward Error Correction, depicting the existing system and Packet Error Probability (PEP) with Forward Error Correction are simulated and their performance compared.The results are simulated and shown using the Matlab.


Structural and Electrical Transport Properties of ZnO doped Calcium Titanate[]


A series of perovskite type compounds ZnxCa1-xTiO3(x=0.1 to 0.9) were synthesized by ceramic technique in air (final temperature 95 °C). Crystal structure of the ZnxCa1-xTiO3 compounds was characterized at room temperature as rhombohedral in space group R-3 (148) (samples with 0.4≥x≥0.1). It was also observed that Zn atoms replaced Ca atoms at B sites. Electrical conductivity was studied from room temperature upto 600K. The compounds were found to be p-type conducting and conductivity increases with the increase of temperature. Conductivities are in the range of 6X10-9 to 5X10-10 mho/cm. Maximum conductivity was observed for x=0.1. As Zn concentration increases electrical conductivity decreases for upto x=0.4 and then conductivity gradually increases indicating multiple phases of perovskites. Thermoelectric power measurements were also carried from room temperature upto 600K. Thermoelectric power varies from 1800 µV/K to 300µV/K as x varies from 0.1 to 0.9. Maximum thermoelectric power was observed for x=0.1. It was found that thermoelectric power decreases with the increase of temperature for all the samples. Structural properties were correlated with the electrical transport properties in these compounds.

Distillation a Crude Oil we get petrol, kerosene, diesel etc. Petrol was known as Black Gold and was a natural resource. Demand of petrol is on hike; it directly affects its price, and in turn affects the burden on the pockets of vehicle owners. In all over the world many scientists are working on this above topic, but till now nobody has been successful. Expert's decisions are not possible to implement directly because the environmental condition of India is different from developed countries. Presently, about 40% of the total consumption of petrol production of the country is used in road transport sector; while the balance 60%is used in industries including power generation, domestic and for other miscellaneous purposes. Petrol consumption in any developed city is 2.25 to 3 Lakhs of liter /day & near about total 90 to 100 petrol pumps. Hydrogen was discovered in 1766 by the English chemist and physicist Cavendish. It is the first element in the periodic table, consisting of one proton and one electron making it the smallest and lightest of all elements. These can be combined again in a fuel cell, creating power, heat with a less emission.


Performance Standards For Social Responsibility In Education A Case Study[]


This paper considers the question of what "social responsibility" might mean, as it relates to education, so that creating a more "socially responsible education" can be better understood. There is, of course, a great deal that one could explore about notions of "the social" and notions of "responsibility," never mind all that could be said about notions of "education" (and a great deal of philosophical writing already exists on these topics); but to keep this paper to a manageable size, the intricacies in these concepts must be swept aside, and we will have to assume that we all have reasonably confluent understandings of them in order to proceed. This paper is, therefore, despite its philosophical approach, meant more to further the work of educators than that of philosophers.


Sensitivity and Specificity of PCR & Microscopy in detection of Babesiosis in domesticated cattle of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa[]


Background: Babesiosis is a tick-transmitted disease of veterinary and medical importance causes significant morbidity and mortality in cattle. This study is proposed to analyze/detect the active infection of Babesiosis in cattle by PCR and microscopic screening and to determine the sensitivity and specificity of the both diagnostic techniques in detection of Babesiosis in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pakistan Methods: Six hundred blood samples of clinically suspected cattle were collected from veterinary hospitals of district Karak and Kohat Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pakistan. Thick and thin smear slides were examined under microscope. DNA was extracted from serum and was amplified by PCR using species specific primers. Amplified product was analyzed after electrophoresis under UV transilluminator. Results: Overall prevalence of Babesia was 27.5% (165/600) in cattle by PCR amongst these 20.6% (62/300) in calves and 34.3% (103/300) in cows. Similarly overall prevalence was 9.83% (59/600) by microscopy, amongst these 7.7% (23/300) in calves and 12% (36/300) in cows. Of these B. bovis was detected in 6.3% in calves ,and 10.6% in cows and B.bigemina 4% in calves and 6.6% in cows by PCR while the mixed infection was 10.3% in calves and 17% in cows. The sensitivity of PCR was 100% and specificity was recorded 93.67% in detection of B.bovis as compare to Microscopy sensitivity was 36.84% and specificity 100% was observed. Conclusions: The study reveals that PCR is more sensitive technique in diagnosis against Babesiosis as compare to microscopy and recommended it for field application in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pakistan. So that proper preventive measure against this disease should be taken to increase the productivity of domesticated cattle.


Screening of kabuli chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) germplasm resistant to Botrytis Gray Mold in Bangladesh[]


An experiment was carried out at the Pulse Research Sub-Station (PRSS), Madaripur, Bangladesh during three subsequent years of 2008-2009, 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 to screen out the suitable high yielding chickpea varieties that performed best against Botrytis gray mold under natural epiphytotic condition. Thirty three kabuli chickpea lines/varieties collected from ICARDA, Syria along with one cheek variety BARIchhola-5 were used under this experiment. The experiment was conducted in RCBD with three replications. Plant debris and Botrytis cinerea inocula (105 conidia/ml) were applied in this nursery at the flowering stage for ensuring the high disease pressure. The severity of BGM was recorded at flowering stage, pod formation stage and maturity stage. Among the 34 lines/varieties of chickpea 8, 18, 5 and 3 lines showed erect, semi erect, semi spreading and spreading type, respectively. Pigmentation of the plant was found to vary among the genotypes and observed that 24, 9 and 1 variety/lines showed stem and leaf pale green, green stem and leaf, and pre dominantly purple stem and leaf, respectively. The BGM disease severity of 34 chickpea genotypes in the field under artificial inoculated condition during three subsequent years showed wide range of disease reaction at flowering stage, pod formation stage and maturity stage and finally 10 germplasms showed Resistant (R) reaction and 24 lines showed Susceptible (S) reaction to Botrytis cinerea. Out of 34 variety/lines FLIP03-45C showed 99% germination in three subsequent years. In case of mean days to flowering, the lowest duration of flowering (79 days) was recorded in lines FLIP00-14C and FLIP 03-104C and highest (87 days) in line FIip98-502 (CLIMAS) and FLIP 01-63C. Mean days to maturity ranged from 120-128 days. The line FLIP03-141C was found early maturity (120 days). The mean plant height ranged from 35.14 - 67.85cm while the tallest plant was found in line FLIP98-206C and the shortest plant was recorded in BARIchhola-5. The highest mean number of branch (8) was recorded in ILC-1929 and the lowest number (4) in lines FLIPO2-47C and FLIPO3-36C. Number of total pods per plant ranged from 12 to 37, while the lowest number of pods (12) was recorded in FLIPO3-45C and the highest number of pods was recorded in BARIchhola-5. A significant variation 12.88-33.67g was observed among the lines/varieties in 100-seeds weight. The highest (33.67g) weight was recorded in FLIP03-141C and the lowest (12.88g) weight was recorded in BARIchhola-5. It was observed that yield performance of all the lines differs significantly. It ranged from 377-1961 kg/ha. The maximum yield (1961) was recorded in FLIP03-141C and the minimum yield was recorded in line FLIP03-36C.

Human Pathologies Related To Defective Apoptotic Proteins-molecular Basis[]


Research in histology, genetics, and molecular biology during the past many years has revealed that virtually all animal cells are armed with the genetic machinery to commit suicide. Under normal physiological circumstances, damaged cells are removed through a genetically programmed type of cell death. Aberrations in the regulation of genetically programmed cell death have been found to cause disease and deformity. Cell death, the ultimate result of cell injury, is one of the most crucial events in pathology, affecting every cell type and being the major consequence of ischemia (lack of blood flow), infection, toxins and immune reactions. In addition, cell death is critical during normal embryogenosis, lymphoid tissue development and normally induced involution and is the aim of cancer radiotherapy and chemotherapy. This article discusses role of apoptotis in pathologies of malignant and potentially malignant lesions, immune disorders, blood disorders and some neural disorders.


Studies on Hydrodynamics of Food Grains in a Circulating Fluidized Bed[]


Circulating Fluidized Beds are currently used in many industries for drying, catalytic and non-catalytic reactions and other applications. The circulating fluidized bed consists of a riser in which a gas-solid suspension is transported upward. The two-phase mixture is separated at the top of the riser and solids are recycled to the bottom via a stand-pipe. Hydrodynamics plays an important role in defining the performance of circulating fluidized bed as a reactor. Hence, the present work focus to study the hydrodynamic characteristics of food grains in the riser of the circulating fluidized bed covering a wide range of operating parameters. The column was made of plexi glass with 1.6m in height and 0.05m in diameter. The effects of operating conditions on axial distributions of solids holdup and particle velocity has been studied.

Wavelet based adaptive solution of elliptic operator equations[]


This paper is concerned with the analysis of wavelet-based adaptive algorithms for adaptive grid selection in finite element method of elliptic equations. Adaptive version of finite element method is presented which can discretize the high gradient region. The selection of suitable mesh is based on the fact that wavelet coefficients are very small in the smooth region and therefore the associated nodes can be ignored. Instead of re-meshing the domain, large number of nodes from non-critical zone is eliminated and compressed stiffness matrix is solved. In this work, B-spline wavelets based multi-scale transformation operator is used. The method has very important and highly practical consequence because it suggests how to reduce the insignificant nodes of the finite element stiffness matrix. The methodology is demonstrated with the help of very simple steady state two-dimensional heat conduction equation. The proposed method is compared with the standard method of finite element.


Synthesis, Characterization of 3-nitronaphtho[2,1-b]furan-2-carbohydrazide and its Synergistic Effect with Halide ions on the Corrosion Inhibition of Mild Steel in Acidic Medium[]


3-nitronaphtho[2,1-b]furan-2-carbohydrazide has been synthesised and tested as corrosion inhibitor for mild steel in 2.5 M H2SO4. The synthesis of 3-nitronaphtho[2,1-b]furan-2-carbohydrazide was achieved by ethyl naphtho[2,1-b]furan-2-carboxylate. The title compound was characterised using FT-IR and 1H NMR spectroscopy. The corrosion inhibition investigation has been conducted at 303K using Mylius thermometric technique. Results obtained showed that 3-nitronaphtho[2, 1-b]furan-2-carbohydrazide is the best inhibitor and its inhibition efficiency (E%) increases with the increase of inhibitor concentration and reaches up to 87% at 1% 3-nitronaphtho[2,1-b]furan-2-carbohydrazide. Inhibitor efficiency of 3-nitronaphtho[2,1-b]furan-2-carbohydrazide synergistically increases on addition of KCl, KBr and KI. The order of the inhibition is KI > KBr > KCl. The adsorption of 3-nitronaphtho[2,1-b]furan-2- carbohydrazide and its combination with halide ions on the metal surface was found to obey the Fruendlich, Temkin and Flory-Huggins adsorption isotherms at all temperatures studied. The values for the adsorption process show that the process is spontaneous.


Effect Of Cellulose Rich Banana Peel Powder And Fish Intestinal Cellulolytic Microbes On Growth And Biochemical Changes Of Fish Etroplus Suratensis (Bloch)[]


To evaluate the efficiency of different probionts (Bacillus altitudinis and Bacillus licheniformis) with banana peel powder on Etroplus suratensis, three different pelleted diets were formulated with 40% protein and in which two diets were supplemented with probionts such as 1% Bacillus altitudinis+2% Banana peel powder (diet A) and 1% Bacillus licheniformis + Banana peel powder (diet B) and a (diet C) with 2% CMC without probiont was used as control. The water stability of these diets was studied as a function of exposure duration. The leaching percentage during 6 hrs periods did not vary much between experimental diets (9.60% to 16.70%). The specific growth rate of E. suratensis revealed that the control diet fed fish have the lowest value of 10.80±0.26 against the highest values of 12.90±0.48 (diet B) in probionts supplemented diets fed fishes. The gross production efficiency was also higher in probionts supplemented diet fed groups than control group.


Effect of Lead on employees working in Paint industry[]


Lead and its compounds are highly used in paints for speeding up its drying and for giving them desired colors. A wide range of colors contain lead, for instance, Yellow contains Lead (II) chromate i.e. PbCrO4, White color contains lead (II) carbonate, PbCO3. Awareness about the toxic effects of non-essential metals (LEAD) is still lacking in developing countries. Lead is one among them, which ranks second in the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry's top 20 lists of toxic metals. The more widespread environmental emissions of lead have been drastically reduced through the introduction of unleaded petrol. As a result, publicity about this common toxin has considerably diminished. However, there is still a problem from these sources in countries with less developed controls. Furthermore, there is still one source of lead regularly causing poisoning, namely paints, on which this paper focuses. Lead concentrations of blood samples from paint industries in peenya (Bangalore) were determined. We have analyzed blood samples from 12 employees working in Paint industry from in and around peenya Industrial area, the city of Bangalore to asses the feasibility of using the lead in paints. Some of the paints being used even now are known to contain this toxic metal at alarming levels. We have a list of persons who are quite often suffered from head aches and back aches.


Optimal Routing and Data Aggregation for Maximizing the Network Lifetime of Wireless Sensors[]


In this paper, we focus on maximizing the network lifetime of wireless sensor networks using both maximum lifetime routing algorithm and smoothing function. An optimal routing and data aggregation scheme for wireless sensor networks is proposed. The objective is to maximize the network lifetime by jointly optimizing data aggregation and routing by adopting a model to integrate data aggregation with the underlying routing scheme and propose a smoothing function to maximum lifetime network. These algorithms show that they significantly reduce the data traffic and improve the network lifetime.

India's LEP has over the last two decades strengthened its economic, political, security, and civilization links with the rest of Asia. In order to cope with the global financial turmoil, India however should become even more persistent and proficient in deepening its linkages with the rest of Asia, while strengthening its capacities to meet its developmental challenges. In order accomplish this task, India will need to develop far greater expertise in geo-economics, an area which has not received the requisite attention. India should also consider establishing a well-funded, resources, think-tank for researching, communicating, and influencing foreign policy issues and options. This will also enable India to better communicate its intentions to rest of the world, including its partners in Asia. The current global financial turmoil represents an opportunity for Asia to assume global responsibilities commensurate with its strength. The EAS is an appropriate forum to begin structuring Asia's future role in the global order as its membership is more inclusive, involving all major countries. Even though it is too early to presume that the Look East policy is a failure, skeptics argue that there is more rhetoric than substance in the policy. With the Northeastern region filled with armed insurrections and the subsequent law and order problem, the implementation of various developmental projects is an arduous task.


Morphological And Genetic Diversity Of Pakistani Wheat Germplasm Under Drought Stress[]


Drought stress is a threat to agricultural productivity especially wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), a staple food in Pakistan. In the present study, the morphological and RAPD-based molecular characteristics of twelve varieties of Pakistani wheat were investigated as a function of drought stress. All the twelve genotypes were grown under four irrigation treatments (T1-380 ml, T2-190 ml, T3-126 ml and T4-95 ml) in the green house of IBGE, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Agricultural University, Peshawar and morphological parameters were studied after maturation of genotypes. The differences among the morphological parameters were found to be significant for treatments, genotypes and interaction of water regimes. Increasing level of water stress decreased the values for all characters while only Tatara, Ghaznavi-98, ZAS-08 and ZAS-42 showed good results in water stress conditions that are to be recognized as drought tolerance varieties. The genetic distance was calculated by unweighted pair group of arithmetic means (UPGMA). The cluster analysis was performed and the resulted dendogram revealed that wheat genotypes such as Tatara, 38-IBWSN-1052 and 38-IBWSN-1059 have high genetic similarity (76%) in comparison to ZAS34 and ZAS67, which were genetically very distant (52%). The information regarding the drought tolerant and genetically distant varieties explored and classified in this study will be a useful tool for choosing genotypes in the wheat breeding towards a superior genotype of high productivity and stress tolerance.

A Survey Of Automated Techniques For Retinal Disease Identification In Diabetic Retinopathy[]


Computational methodologies have become a significant part of the real time applications. One specific application which highly depends on the computing techniques is the medical field. Ophthalmology is a significant branch of biomedical field which requires computer-aided automated techniques for pathology identification in human eyes. These automated techniques must be highly accurate and also converge in quick time period. The focus of this paper is on understanding the procedure of automated techniques involved in retinal disease identification in diabetic retinopathy and why it is significant .This paper focus on importance of understanding the motivation behind the retinopathy , its intricacies and the role of technology involved in it . It also gives information of available public data set on which algorithms are tested and trained .This paper also briefly touches the imaging method involved for acquiring the fundus ,the gold standard rule for data set and imaging,This paper also provides the performance parameter used for analysis of algorithm and this paper will also highlight the work done by various groups of various university , lastly it gives the list of chronological work done in this field for detecting microanerusym, exudates ,optic disc ,blood vessels. All this will help the aspirant researcher immensely.


The Influence of Teacher's Behavior on The Academic Achievement []


This research article discusses the influence of teacher's behavior on the academic achievement of university students. All the teachers and students of Hyderabad universities (13universities) constituted the population. The sample of the study is 1080, consist of 180 faculties and 900 students That randomly selected from five universities out of 13 universities in Hyderabad. Two questionnaires were developed and validated through pilot testing and administered to the sample for the collection of data. The researcher personally visited respondents, thus 100% data were collected. The collected data were tabulated and analyzed by using chi-square and Pearson's product moment coefficient of correlation (r). The major conclusions of the study were that teachers felt proud to be teachers and also Faculties expressed that priority wise, punctuality, honesty and hard work are important qualities of Good teachers. Students were found to be satisfied with the positive behavior of their teachers. half of students indicated that important qualities of teacher's Behavior were punctuality, honesty, hardworking, friendly, confident and competency. Study showed that there is a significant correlation between the teachers' behavior and academic achievement in students of Hyderabad universities.

These automated techniques must be highly accurate and also converge in quick time period. The focus of this paper is on understanding the procedure of automated techniques involved in retinal disease identification in diabetic retinopathy and why it is significant .This paper focus on importance of understanding the motivation behind the retinopathy , its intricacies and the role of technology involved in it . It also gives information of available public data set on which algorithms are tested and trained .This paper also briefly touches the imaging method involved for acquiring the fundus ,the gold standard rule for data set and imaging,This paper also provides the performance parameter used for analysis of algorithm and this paper will also highlight the work done by various groups of various university , lastly it gives the list of chronological work done in this field for detecting microanerusym, exudates ,optic disc ,blood vessels. All this will help the aspirant researcher immensely.

The present study was designed to investigate the effect of seasonal changes on the glycogen contents of gonads (testis and ovary). From the fresh water crabs: Barytelphusa. Cunicularis and Barytelphusa. Guerinii, which were collected from the godavari river at paithan, near Aurangabad.


Bandwidth Enhancement For Microstrip Patch Antenna Using Suspended Techniques For Wireless Applications[]


A probe feed, slotted hexagonal patch antenna has been proposed. Bandwidth enhancement has been improved by suitably cutting slots into hexagonal patch. Proposed antenna is suitable for various telecoms, LAN, Wi-Fi applications in ISM-band. It is demonstrated that the proposed antenna exhibits resonance in ISM-Band and a peak gain of 6dBi.The antenna structure is described and simulated results are presented.


Strength of Binary Blended Cement Composites Containing Pawpaw Leaf Ash[]


The strength characteristics of binary blended cement composites made with Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) and PawPaw Leaf Ash (PPLA) were investigated in this work. 105 concrete cubes and 105 sandcrete cubes of 150mm x 150mm x 150mm were produced at percentage OPC replacement with PPLA of 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, and 25% and crushed to obtain their compressive strengths at 3, 7, 14, 21, 28, 50, and 90 days of curing. The 3-21 day compressive strength values of OPC-PPLA binary blended cement concrete were found to be much lower than the control values; the 28-50 day strengths were comparable to the control values; while the 90 day strengths were higher than the control values especially at 5-10% replacements of OPC with PPLA, ranging from 24.50N/mm2 for 10% replacement of OPC to 26.00N/mm2 for 5% replacement of OPC compared with the control value of 23.60N/mm2. This same trend was observed for OPC-PPLA binary blended cement sandcrete. The variation in density was not significant. Mathematical models were developed for predicting compressive strengths of OPC-PPLA binary blended cement composites using polynomial regression analysis. The model values of compressive strengths obtained from the various model equations were found to be either exactly the same as those of the equivalent laboratory values or very close to them, with differences ranging from 0 to 0.6N/mm2. Thus, OPC-PPLA binary blended cement composites could be good for civil engineering works and the developed model equations can be used to estimate their strengths for various curing ages and percentage OPC replacement with PPLA.


The Influence of Teacher's Behavior on The Academic Achievement[]


This research article discusses the influence of teacher's behavior on the academic achievement of university students. All the teachers and students of Hyderabad universities (13universities) constituted the population. The sample of the study is 1080, consist of 180 faculties and 900 students That randomly selected from five universities out of 13 universities in Hyderabad. Two questionnaires were developed and validated through pilot testing and administered to the sample for the collection of data. The researcher personally visited respondents, thus 100% data were collected. The collected data were tabulated and analyzed by using chi-square and Pearson's product moment coefficient of correlation (r). The major conclusions of the study were that teachers felt proud to be teachers and also Faculties expressed that priority wise, punctuality, honesty and hard work are important qualities of Good teachers. Students were found to be satisfied with the positive behavior of their teachers. half of students indicated that important qualities of teacher's Behavior were punctuality, honesty, hardworking, friendly, confident and competency. Study showed that there is a significant correlation between the teachers' behavior and academic achievement in students of Hyderabad universities.

Studies on harden properties of mortar using carbon fibres[]


It is evident that the carbon-fiber-reinforced cementitious composites are being used in the structural and construction works owing to the synergetic action from two components viz. fiber and mortar matrix. Incorporation of a very nominal percentage of carbon fibers into a mortar mixture produces a strong and durable composite that leads the product of smart material properties. Behavior of cement-based matrices carrying carbon fibers reinforcement of different percentage is studied in this paper. Specimens containing fiber of 0.0, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0 % are prepared and tested. It is demonstrated that certain amount of fibers enhances the compressive as well as split tensile capacity of the fiber reinforced cement mortar. The Compressive strength of mortar was increased to 10.52 % and Split tensile strength was increased by 48.15 %.


Strategic Shift in Approach towards Women's Protection in Twelfth Five Year Plan (2012-2017)[]


An analysis of crimes against women and children by bureau of crimes Government of India shows that despite increase in financial input on women welfare interventions in eleventh five year plan crime graph against women is on the increase. This is despite the fact that a substantial crime goes unreported and some time it's unnoticed even. Hence there is an urgent need to reorient the approach and nature of programmes during 12th plan particularly related to protection of women and children. This paper analyses the adequacy of existing arrangements and policy support as also felt need for a change in approach taking domestic violence against women and their children as an example to suggest a new possible roadmap. Reformed in legislation, approach to critical issues of protection, operational framework and paradigm shift in mindset of different stakeholders have been identified as key focus areas of intervention. This article also suggests fresh ideas and indicators for measuring tangible outcomes in few selected parameters to know the improvement in enabling environment for crime against women during Twelfth five year plan period.

Nowadays, most of the developing countries is facing a great power crisis, which hinders their development .To meet the power requirement in these developing countries, the concept ''regenerative power from manual/automatic transmission'' comes into action, which ensures that the kinetic energy wasted during the gear shifts can be effectively used in generating power, thus powering the needs of the car electronic systems and if the power generated is more, then it is stored in a separate battery, such that it can be used to power devices in home - a concept called Vehicle to Home Power Transfer System, thus opening a door for effective conversion and utilization of wasted energy in automobiles. The Overall Control is carried with the help of microcontroller, fly wheel, alternator, and gear system.


Romantic Par-excellence: Kazi Nazrul Islam's Selected Poems[]


Like most of the English romantic poets, Kazi Nazrul Islam sustains some themes such as love, subjectivity, humanism, and protest against injustice in his writing. Hence, this study tries to analyze Nazrul's poetry with special emphasis on the poems dealing with romantic elements - love, humanism, nature, subjectivity, mysticism, individualism and revolutionary zeal, which place Nazrul in the throne of a romantic poet. If a poet does not love humankind, he can never become a rebel. Nazrul's love is the main source of motion of his revolt. His poetic career is hardly complete if his poems of love, nature and humanity are not taken into account. His love poems have definitely proved him as a worshipper of love. His philosophy is very much akin to the second generation romantic poets viz., Shelley, Keats and Byron as all are revolutionaries. Nazrul compares himself with Keats and declares his intention is very much like Keats' ''Beauty is truth, truth beauty'' and in respect of revolution and passionate love, he is like Shelley. Nazrul finds symbol for his own state of mind. Thus, the focal point, of this article, is to examine how Kazi Nazrul Islam can be considered as a romantic poet who adorns his poems with the features of Romanticism.

A Survey on Test Case Generation from UML Based Requirement Analysis Model[]


This Software testing is an important activity in the software development life cycle One of the important goal of a requirement specification is that the customer can validate the requirements and expectations from the viewpoint of the actual usage .The success of software can be improved by modelling .Modelling is one way to visualize the design and check it against the requirement before the developer begins the coding phase. One such modelling language widely used is unified modelling language (UML). UML diagrams produce a graphical representation of the system under design .If testing the software is addressed at the initial stage in software development lifecycle (SDLC); it will be easy for the testers to test the software in the later stages. This paper limelight the various UML models used for test case generation.


Performance Analysis of CCGT Power Plant using MATLAB/Simulink Based Simulation[]


Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) integrates two cycles- Brayton cycle (Gas Turbine) and Rankine cycle (Steam Turbine) with the objective of increasing overall plant efficiency. In modern gas turbine the temperature of the exhaust gases is in the range of 500 oC to 550 oC. Modern steam power plants have steam temperature in the range of 500 oC to 630 oC. Hence gas turbine exhaust can be utilized by a waste-heat recovery boiler to run a steam turbine based on Rankine cycle. The efficiency of a gas turbine which ranges from 28% to 33% can be raised to about 60% by recovering some of the low grade thermal energy from the exhaust gas for steam turbine process. This paper is a study for the modelling of gas turbine and using this model for optimizing the power of CCGT by varying parameters. The performance model for CCGT plant was developed in MATLAB/Simulink.
